Cinemark Anvari’s challenge is how to make a propulsive, engaging, and often deliberately funny film about a character who would ordinarily exist only in the margins of a more taut, and perhaps more phony, script. Besides the creepy bugs and Hammer's character's descent into madness it was an unremarkable, uninteresting, forgettable movie that one could do without watching. “You let your man handle this,” swaggers Will to a fretful Carrie. The acting is really good, specially concerning the main character. Ella Kemp.

Was this review helpful? So, when attending Sundance Film Festival 2019 and saw his next film 'Wounds' on the list, naturally I jumped at the chance to see it.
Was this review helpful? It's a mess. The plot is convoluted and never decides what the story is really about, which just makes you feel excluded from the story. Here, when a body is tunneled into and abused, it seems to open a vent into the soul. He skates across life's surface, ignoring complications and concentrating on enjoying the moment.
It's basically just a long drawn out drama about a loser guy who wants to cheat on his girlfriend with a few "creepy" moments thrown in out of nowhere, that seem to lead nowhere and mean nothing. The trouble for Will and the rest of the roustabouts at Rosie’s bar is that at their core, they’re full of lust, violence, and rage. Armie Hammer, Dakota Johnson, and Zazie Beetz star in this horror film about a cursed cell phone. You don't have to give it a 10, but if this is a 1 star movie then we'll be stuck with mediocre and trite horrors like The Nun or Insidious: the last key forever, because that's what the audience presumably wants. Will finally submits and starts to absorb the higher being in an attempt to become whole as cockroaches envelop the house. Mystery & Suspense
